One Voice is a student-run summit that seeks to inspire young people in collaborating to bring about positive change towards global issues, much like the spirit of Global Doughnut Day. The One Voice Summit takes place every year in autumn, where students are challenged to develop innovative solutions for their schools and communities, ultimately aiming for a positive impact on people and our planet. This initiative is part of the broader movement that includes passionate educators, often referred to as Teachers on Fire, who motivate students to engage in meaningful discussions and actions.

How can we create a better, more equitable, and peaceful world? A way forward is to create learning that taps into and promotes collaborative intelligence, rather than relying on the outmoded system that is solitary and competitive. This workshop, inspired by events like Global Doughnut Day and the One Voice Summit, will explore some ideas and biases against collaborative learning—particularly with the use of PBLs—and showcase examples of how this approach is effectively implemented in an IBDP Economics classroom. We aim to ignite the passion of Teachers on Fire to foster a more inclusive educational environment.
